Kickstart Clinic FAQ
You will take a seat outside and wait to be called in by the practitioner. The first consultation will last no longer than 30 minutes where you will be asked some questions about your smoking and your general health and talk about nicotine addiction and the habit side of smoking.
You will be asked to blow into a machine to measure your carbon monoxide levels and then discuss which stop smoking medications to try and look at how they work. You will be given a voucher to take to the chemist to get your Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) or a request letter to take to your GP for Champix. At the end of the session, you will arrange to see your practitioner in a week's time.
